DAC—A Nightmarish Contemporary Concentration Camp

Animal control—the euphemism for massacre of helpless life forms—has been taken to the utmost level of abuse and cruelty by a place where helpless dogs are captured, imprisoned, abused, and killed with no regard for ethics and even court orders. Welcome to the earthly hell for homeless dogs, aka the Detroit Animal Control (DAC).

The horrors of this entity continue to come to the surface after its reckless killing of a stray pit bull named ‘Ace’ that had the fateful chance to come across the DAC staff that captured it outside a hardware store and imprisoned it as per state law: capture homeless pit bulls (again the breed which suffers without reason just like Jews suffered at the hands of Nazis in World War 2) and if their owners are not found in a short time, kill them. These captured dogs are not handed over to anybody—individuals or rescue groups. They are sentenced to death for the simple reason that they are not lucky enough to have an owner.

In the case of Ace’s killing, DAC did what made people cry and condemn the animal control body for its insensitivity, defiance if law, fraud, and cruelty. Owing to appeals from all over the county as well as other parts of the world to spare Ace’s life and give it over for adoption to a rescue group or any of the numerous people asking to adopt him, the Wayne County Court ordered DAC not to kill Ace. But the dog-killers did what they had to do. Ace was literally executed, and with such secrecy that it made the animal control sound like a cult given to murdering dogs with the curtains closed.

Not only did DAC disobey the court order but so daringly (read shamelessly) assumed the position that they never received the court order while Corbett O’Meara has told media that he himself delivered the court injunction to DAC and is now going to sue the animal control for illegally killing the animals. There is a lot more to this story of a helpless dog whose life was savagely destroyed by his captors and who is now being remembered with teary eyes by so many advocates of protecting life. At least one first-hand witness who has been at DAC to see Ace has described a horrific instance of cruelty to little puppies and there is evidence claimed by more than one person that Ace was killed a number of days earlier than declared by the DAC.

Ignoring court orders and killing a dog despite repeated appeals with the pseudo-reasoning that if they grant this animal’s life, they’ll have to spare all, DAC undoubtedly qualifies for being marked as a contemporary concentration camp right in America—a bunch of dog killers who can eat and sleep well with hands all red in innocent blood. Let us strongly condemn this barbarianism. Please contact the mayor of Detroit and ask for justice in the form of closure of this dog concentration camp, investigation of Ace’s killing, and maximum possible punishment for the culprits found guilty of cruelty to dogs.

It’s time to stop sadistic killing of dogs under the senseless rubric of animal control. Let’s control the killers!
