Home for Francesca

The following is a Facebook post by Philly Urgents Page telling about a cute and nice dog Francesca that was left the shelter by her owner who did not have time to care for her. While she is not facing a life threat as such, she certainly deserves a loving family to take her in and make her part of the family.

Francesca (A13031368) is a petite little terrier mix about 3 to 5 years old. She was surrendered for adoption because her owner was sick and could no longer care for her. Francesca is very scared here in the shelter and needs people to go slow with her while she adjusts. She is slightly underweight and could stand to gain a few pounds. Francesca showed no interest in cats and seems good with other dogs. At first, she can be shy but once she feels comfortable, she is more playful. Since we don’t know much about her past, it would be best for her to not be placed in a home with small children. When you come to meet her please bring all older children and other dogs that live in the house. This sweet lady needs a chance to come out of her shell where she can shine. Come to meet this pretty lady today!

This dog is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Adoption hours are 1-8 Monday through Friday and 10-5 on weekends. If you are interested in fostering, please contact nsmith@pspca.org or jsweeney@pspca.org.
