Save Pravi—the animal rescuer—from closing down

One of the saddest news in recent top stories is the possible closure of Pravi, a non-profit animal-saving association based in Algrave, Portugal. The reason for the closure is financial difficulty due to lack of financial contribution by donors. Not caring? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story in Algrave Resident, dated August 19th, notes that Pravi has saved more than 1500 cats and dogs this year, neutering more than 300 and has already scheduled more sterilizing operations. However, the organization has been receiving little more than nothing from contributors. This has led the organization indebted to veterinary centers by as much as €4000. With no funds available, Pravi has only two options left: get quick support through donations by citizens, or just close down.

If Pravi closes down, the hundreds of abandoned animals in Portugal’s streets will lose any hope of life and care by the organization which has so far committed to their rescue. All animal lovers and caring people are therefore being requested by Pravi to step forward and contribute however little or more they can, so that the helpless animals can have a second chance at life.

To help Pravi, please write to pravi.algarve@gmail.com. Contributions can be made directly to bank account with the NIB number 0033 0000 4530 8483 78 805. To learn more about the organization, visit its blog http://pravi-portugal.blogspot.com/.
