Critically Ill Angie Needs Urgent Donations

Donations are requested for Angie, a dog in critical condition, needing immediate treatment for a deadly disease which can end her life in days if not given the necessary treatment.

Heavily infested and suffering from the deadly condition called Parvo, Angie is struggling for life at the online dog rescue group Let’s Adopt which is raising money for her treatment. Of the required $3500 more than $2000 has already been raised via online donations. But the rest is needed to save Angie from death and give her another chance at life.

Left to Die, Barney Needs a Savior

It is easy for some people to let go of life instead of nurturing it. This is what happened to a dog named Barney who was traveling with his owners en route to Maine. The owners, from Florida, who had adopted him, suddenly decided not to let the dog be part of the family anymore. They turned the dog in to animal control through Dillon SC. And so, Barney faces death now, unless saved by someone who adopts him.

5-year-old Barney is known to be a very loving, positive dog of the Beagle breed. He has two more days to live and if no one steps forward to take him in as a new owner, he will be out down, that is on Wednesday, January 04, 2012. Please write via email to wherehopelives@gmail.com to save Barney.

Save Princess from Death

No matter how loving and caring, dogs continue to face death by humans. And yet, humans are the ones who can save them. Here is another case of caring humans raising voice for a pet dog Princess, a 7-year-old jack Russell Terrier who now faces impending death because she is now more wanted at the house where she was a pet dog. Reason? A new baby is born in that house and Princess has been abandoned to a shelter. Worse yet, she faces euthanasia if somebody didn’t adopt her.

The shy, family-friendly Princess doesn’t deserve t be put to death simply because anther life was born and displaced her. As Martha Jette mentions in her post, Princess does not deserve to be put down simply because she is now in the way. Those who think they can take in a beautiful, caring dog, are requested to consider adopting Princess and saving her life from being killed.

Somky is Alive!

We have some good news here. Last week, I posted about Smoky – the senior female Chow Chow who had 24 hours left to be saved from euthanasia. I just called the concerned person at the shelter where Smoky is kept and I learnt that she is still alive. Yayyyyyyyy!

Since reading about Smoky and blogging about saving her, I tried to call the shelter contact Samantha Westbrook a number of times to learn whether any caring person had adopted Smoky and saved her from being killed. Finally, I succeeded in reaching Samantha on phone and she told me a while ago that Smoky was still with them, alive and well. I also learnt from Samantha that Smoky’s age is 8 years and not 14 as described on the page at DogsInDanger.

In addition, there was not any set time to put Smoky to euthanasia. So our dear dog still has a chance at life! Let’s hope Smoky is adopted soon by some caring person out there. Please contact Samantha Westbrook at 213 792 5811 for saving Smoky.

24 Hours Left to Save Smoky from Death

Smoky, a 14-year-old black Chow Chow female dog has only 24 hours to live, unless she is saved by someone who cares to save her life from euthanasia that’ll be given to her after a day because the shelter she is at doesn’t have enough space for her anymore.

Kept at the LA City Animal Services - West LA (California), Smoky has been at the shelter just a month. She weighs 64 pounds and has been spayed already. With one day left to live, unless someone intervenes, Smoky is a test for human love and care. It’s time to save her, to give her a chance to die a natural death and not through a euthanizing murder.
